Piggy Toes is a small business in the making, inspired by my desire to capture the craziness and innocence of my own children (who seem to be growing up all together too quickly). I've spent the past few years working on my photography and editing skills, and (thanks to my wonderful husband) have awesome new equipment to help with my progress. If you're looking for casual, fun, or timeless images of your family (with rates much more agreeable than a professional) I might be the gal for you!

Princess Kasey
Kasey is just like any other 4-year-old girl in that she loves princesses, she loves to giggle, she loves to run, and she loves to get dressed up.
But, Kasey is special in lots of ways, too. She has the most gorgeous blue eyes. She can hula hoop better than anyone I know. And, she's my Evangeline's birthday buddy. Yup, they were born just hours apart.
We met Kasey and her mom for a fun morning playing at the park. Think dirt paths, lots of rocks to throw in the pond, a castle to hide around, and lots of beautiful flowers.
The kiddos had so much fun playing, and we managed to capture lots of genuine smiles.

Family First
I've said it before, but I'll say it again.
One of my favorites parts of this job is getting to spend time with such wonderful families. I love getting to chat with moms and dads, playing with the kids, and seeing how siblings interact with each other.
Over the past few weeks I've had the pleasure of shooting a few more family sessions, and I wanted to share some of my favorite 'family first' pictures...

'Spring Chickens' Winner!
'Spring Chickens' contest winner Ava was here for her FREE portrait session, and little miss Ava did such a fabulous job!
The day of our session just happened to be her 4th birthday, and she brought along mom and grandma, so in addition to some adorable birthday portraits, we were also able to get some "mommy and me" and three generations pictures.
I love the outfits that mom chose for Ava to wear, and all of the accessories, too.

K is for Kenzo
Meet Kenzo... a happy, friendly, silly 18-month-old.
Kenzo likes dogs, trains, goldfish crackers, and afternoon naps. Kenzo does not like sitting still (which, at 18 months old, is part of his job description!)
He did a great job at smiling and posing for us, and doing silly boy things, like climbing on my leather box and shaking his head crazy like the dog!
I love that we captured lots of 'Kenzo' expressions, and thinks that his mom is going to have a hard time deciding which pictures to frame and hang!
Take a look at handsome Kenzo!

Happy Day for Hailey!
Remember this little cutie...
Well she's back, and this time we're celebrating her first birthday!
Mom and dad came prepared for our session with an adorable birthday dress, snacks and a sippy cup, but sometimes all a baby needs is her mommy to snuggle (and Hailey loves to snuggle her mommy!)
We started with standard portraits, showing off her pretty smile and adorable dress, then were hoping for some fun Cake Smash pictures, but little Hailey had other plans. She was just about done with being photographed when it was cake time, and didn't want to taste the cake or even play with it.
We did get lots of adorable smiles and poses (thanks to mom being very silly and tossing a ball with Hailey!), and I'm sure the pictures will always remind them of the day Hailey didn't want her cake!

That's how little guy is growing!
We first saw handsome Drake when he was two weeks old, and barely five pounds. Now at three months (and about 13lbs) he's quite the little charmer.
Most babies don't like to be poked, positioned, and put through numerous wardrobe changes, but none of this phased Drake. He lasted more than hour, and was clearly sleepy by the end of our session, but was such a good boy and let us get in every set and wardrobe change that we had planned.
Daddy is away for military training, so I think he'll need to frame a few of these for his desk!
Which one is your favorite?!
